Clutch update
I made quite a bit of progress this weekend. I picked up my new slave cylinder this morning from Napa (Part number: NCF 73173). First I spent the time to draw up this slave cylinder to make sure I could make an accurate mount without any issues. It is not a perfect solid model by any means, but the critical dimension are accurate enough that my bracket came out fine.
So first I put together enough dimension that I could use the CNC Plasma to cut out the bracket. Then I decided that it was close enough to the exhaust that I would need to make some sort of heat shield. This would prove beneficial in more than one way. I made it beefy enough to act as a gusset as well.
Here are a few shots of the progress as it was being developed, welded , and installed.
I still have not decided if I need to extend the heat shield to cover the rubber boot that is on the shaft.
Now that the slave cylinder is mounted I can focus on installing the master cylinder and adapting a new line to go from the YJ master cylinder to the CJ slave cylinder.
